- 400gm chopped Dried Dates
- 400gm SR Flour
- 140gm Light Brown Sugar
- 250gm Butter
- 4 tab Golden Syrup
- Rind of 2 Lemons grated finely
METHOD
- Preheat oven to 180C
- Grease and Line tray
- Place butter, sugar,and syrup in heatproof bowl, cover, and microwave for 1.5 min.
- In separate bowl place flour, dates and lemon rind and mix until well combined
- Add melted butter mixture and mix well
- Press onto greased tray and bake for 14 mins or until the top is golden brown
- Allow to cool in the tin and then cut into squares.
