  • 1 cup Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup Plain Flour
  • 1 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Desiccated Coconut
  • 125gm Butter
  • 2 tbs Golden Syrup
  • 1 tab Water
  • 1/2 teas Bicarb of Soda
  1. Preheat oven to 160deg C
  2. Combine Oats, Syrup, Sugar and Coconut in a bowl
  3. Melt Butter, Syrup and Water in a small saucepan over low heat
  4. Add Bicarb of Soda, this will bubble and rise
  5. Add wet mixture into the dry and mix until well combined
  6. Spoon level teaspoons of the mixture onto the baking trays
  7. Press to flatten, to approx 3 inches
  8. Bake for 20 min. Allow to cool on tray if possible
