Busy in the kitchen with Relish and Chutney

I have been keeping myself busy in isolation. Thanks to all of those who are saving their bottles for me.

I have made a couple of batches up.

First is a batch of Dried Fruit Chutney, and another batch of the Chilli Onion and Apple Relish.  This is so simple and simply yummy !!

Chilli Onion and Apple Relish is so simple – Boil the following until it has reached your desiried consistency.  1 cup chilli,  1 cup onion, 1 cup onion, 1 cup white vinegar, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup peeled green apple.  That’s it !!

Dried Fruit Chutney is pretty easy too –

1. Chop the following and place in saucepan 200 gm dried Apple,  200gm dried Pears, 200gm dried Apricots, 240gm Sultanas, 200gm Dates, 500ml water.

2. Add 400gm Brown Sugar and bring to boil.  Boil until dissolves

3. Add 500ml Cider Vinegar, 1/2 teas Chilli powder, 1/2 teas ground Tumeric, 1/2 teas ground Nutmeg, 1/2 teas ground Ginger, and 1 clove Garlic crushed.

4. Cook on high for approx 30 mins or until mixture has reached desired consistency.

Bottle into sterilised bottles, turn upside down to seal. Done !
